- 28 october 2026: workshop "Toponyms in a digital era in Belgium". The goal of this workshop is to gather experts in the toponymic field to reflect on the new research perspectives such tools and databank of historical toponyms offer. The workshop is organized by the Work Package 4 of CLARIAH-VL+ within which the gazetteer is developed. Program and registration here.
- April 2026: introduction to the gazetteer in one seminar of the DH virtual discussion group
- March 2026: a first version of the gazetteer is available on the World Historical Gazetteer, a website that offers reconciliations services.
- January 2026: a webmap showcasing the historical toponyms already collected is available.
- June 2025: the gazetteer was at the DHBenelux conference for a paper and a demo.
- June 2025: an updated version of the dataset (Provinces Antwerp and East-Flanders + previously missing towns) has been uploaded on Druid
