To promote existing and stimulate new research the group has developped various initiatives to support (potential) PhD students and postdocs.

• Research market: yearly matchmaker event for thesis students/promotors and a showcase towards external partners
• Doctoral Research group (ARCHES-DRG), regular meetings of the PhDs and postdoc researchers focusing on relevant topics
• FWO Fellowships Exchange Lab: lifting proposals to the next level
• Publish or Perish (PoP) workshop: turning your research into a paper, step by step in 12 weeks
• ARCHES writing group: shut up and write (for two hours) 
• Writing retreat: a yearly extra muros week to focus on writing
• ARCHES top author: yearly award for the member that published the most papers
• ZAP-only lunch: monthly informal lunch for ZAP members, explicitly without an agenda 
• Club FWO: yearly high tea for ZAP to celebrate the end of the proposal season and share experiences
• The yearly team building and network event to kick off the academic year  
• Monthly operational group meetings, with research spotlights by incoming members
• Social media Whatsapp: our dynamic communication channel to efficiently post activities and news on our socials
