The Center for Oncological Research houses a hypoxia facility for mammalian cell research. The infrastructure consists of two Whitley H45 HEPA Hypoxystations (Don Whitley Scientific). Each hypoxystation allows to control O2 from 0.1% up to 20% and also features a cycling program option. The big working chamber provides adequate room for cell manipulations, incubations of experiments and small equipment. The two hypoxystations allow to study the effects of O2 simultaneously in three different O2 settings (2 defined by user, 1 being atmospheric 21% O2). More information on specifications can be found at https://www.dwscientific.com/whitley-hypoxic-workstations/whitley-h45-hypoxystation.

If you are interested to work with our hypoxystations, please contact prof. dr. An Wouters (an.wouters@uantwerpen.be) and dr. Jorrit De Waele (jorrit.dewaele@uantwerpen.be).
