Session overview:

The ES conference offers several program elements for which nearly 70 sessions will be organised:

  • Networking day: Matching science, policy and practice (Tuesday 20 September). This part will consist of a full-day marketplace combined with parallel side-events.
    • Marketplace: the marketplace offers the opportunity to show the audience what you have on offer and let people experience it. This may include games, interactive tools, products from cases, videos, possibly combined with traditional posters.
    • Side events:  These are practical demonstrations of tools, case studies examples from ECOPLAN, OPERAs and OpenNESS, interactive ateliers, training sessions, or debates between opposing opinions.
  • Science showcase day (Thursday 22 September). This day offers sessions with a largely scientific focus. These sessions will be run in parallel and should contain research presentations in combination with discussions on how to relate to practical implementation. These sessions will be organised around key topics in the field of ecosystem services.

Venue:

The Antwerp conference will be hosted in several buildings of the beautiful Antwerp university. The venue is situated right at the heart of Antwerp's city centre, making it easily accessible by public transport. Another benefit is that there are many nearbyaccommodation options.
