21 May 2021: ARCHI-TECHNOLOGIES: FROM ARCHITECTURAL CREATIVITY TO TECH-DESIGN THINKING

We would like to invite you to the Second Multiplier Event hosted by KU Leuven. The event takes place online on Friday May 21, 2021 14:00 - 16:00 CEST. The event ARCHI-TECHNOLOGIES is dedicated to graduates who have studied architecture and find themselves working on technology and engaging in the interaction between the built world and digital space. Preliminary results of the Afterlife survey will be also shared.

Book launch Timber Construction

Mario Rinke will be presenting his new book on timber construction on 12 May at the Baumusterzentrale in Zurich. He co-edited the book, together with Martin Krammer, and contributed a chapter. The book was released last December and guides architects through the design process of timber projects

Expo "Tussen natuur en cultuur - Van plantstructuren naar architectuurontwerp“

Biomimicry was explored by students from the first bachelor year of architecture. From 1 May to 30 June 2021 you can see the various results in the exhibition 'Between nature and culture' in the Botanic Garden Meise. On 30 June the exhibition will be festively closed with a science café on biomimicry.

TACK network meeting 3-5th May 2021

Our PhD researcher Ionas Sklavounos will be participating the 3rd Intermediate Meeting from the TACK network hosted by the Politecnico di Milano. ‘Communities of Tacit Knowledge: Architecture and its Ways of Knowing’ (TACK) focuses on understanding the specific knowledge architects use when designing buildings and cities. The public lectures are accessible via the Youtube-Channel.
