The area of Technology and Circular Design deals with the role of building technology in architecture and interior architecture as well as the principles of circular construction within our building production.

Within this research area we focus on the integration of innovative construction and digital technologies and sustainable principles to promote resource efficiency, durability, and environmental responsibility. This research area explores material innovation, smart construction techniques and digital design approaches while embracing circular design strategies that prioritise reuse, adaptability, and minimal environmental impact. By bridging technical expertise with design thinking, we investigate how emerging technologies can reshape the built environment, reducing waste and carbon footprints.

Through interdisciplinary collaboration and experimental methodologies, we aim to develop resilient, future-proof design solutions that contribute to a more sustainable and circular economy in the building industry.
