The coordinator of MIGLOBA, Milena Belloni, together with Hilde Greefs and Dirk Vanheule, teaches the Bachelor course "Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Migration and Integration". In the course, students explore the phenomenon of migration and global mobility from several disciplinary perspectives, ranging from history to law and sociology and delving into key topics of current debates, such as migrant integration and the impact of international migration. Through lectures, seminars and collective assignments, students are encouraged to reflect on the meaning and the questions related to migration, diversity, mobility, integration and overcome common assumptions about these timely topics.
Student research for non-profit organisations linked to societal challenges
Interested in writing your master's thesis on migration or global mobility? At MIGLOBA, we want to support students who want to conduct research on migration, mobility, and related societal challenges. If you are looking for a socially relevant thesis topic, we encourage you to explore the opportunities available through the Wetenschapswinkel. (Though the website is in Dutch, English Master theses are also possible, please reach out to wetenschapswinkel@uantwerpen.be and we're happy to help.)
Are you a partner with an interesting research question and in need of scientific advice or support? You can submit your topic through the Wetenschapswinkel or reach out directly to the MIGLOBA team via migloba@uantwerpen.be. We look forward to connecting research with societal impact.
