Asphalt Innovation Symposium (AIS) was started by the University of Antwerp and organized for the first time in 2018. Since then, this symposium is organized every year by the Sustainable Pavements and Aspalt Research group (SuPAR).
The central theme of this symposium is “Research Meets Industry” to promote high-level collaborations and exchange of ideas among the universities and industries. From this year, AIS will be a physical event on even years, focusing on our local partners and industries, and a virtual event on odd years, connecting the research in Flanders to the international community.
In AIS, different topics such as digitalization, sustainability, the performance of bituminous materials, and novel technologies used at the industries are discussed through plenary, keynote, and invited speeches, oral presentations, and poster sessions.
All international researchers, industrial stockholders and managers, and students in this field are welcome to join and update others on their latest research ideas.
