Expertise
Alexander De Man is a postdoctoral researcher at the Research Centre for Visual Poetics at the University of Antwerp and the Centre for Cinema and Media Studies at Ghent University. His research revolves around diasporic and (trans)national cinema, Flemish cinema, film policy, and the cultural politics of popular media. He studies these subjects from the theoretical vantage point of cultural studies, postcolonial studies, film studies, and critical media industry studies. Additionally, he serves as a film programmer at Film-Plateau and is affiliated with the Centre for the Social Study of Migration and Refugees (CESSMIR).
