Bart Tritsmans is an assistant professor at the Faculty of Design Sciences of the University of Antwerp and a member of the A+I Research Group. He holds a PhD in History (UAntwerpen) and Architectural Engineering (Vrije Universiteit Brussel). He specialises in urban and architectural history of the 19th and 20th centuries. His research interests include architecture, landscape, urban space and interiority , from a contemporary and a historical perspective. In his current research, he focuses on action groups and social movements and their discourses and spatial strategies in the modern city.
