Expertise
I am a neurobiologist with specific expertise in the field of electrophysiology. Since 2010, I have been working in ENT departments (otology), where I conduct research on the health of the auditory nerve in cases of severe hearing loss, both in laboratory animals and in patients with cochlear implants to artificially restore hearing.
Next-Gen Prediction of Cochlear Health in Cochlear Implant Users: A Data-Driven Approach.
Abstract
The goal of this project is to assess the condition of an individual cochlear implant user's auditory nerve using clinically feasible electrophysiological measurements. This will enable clinicians to adjust cochlear implant programming to match the health of the neural tissue improving the patient's hearing performance, and will additionally aid future development of cochlear implants.Researcher(s)
