Experimental verification of hypotheses concerning the evolvability of conceptual models of information systems. 01/01/1999 - 31/12/1999

Abstract

In the analysis phase of an information system (IS), both concrete and abstract conceptual models of the user requirements can be built. Recent literature on reuse of analysis patterns and domain-specific architectures suggests that abstract models are more evolvable or adaptable than concrete ones. The goal of this project is to verify these implications in a series of experiments using professional analysts from Belgian companies.
