Josias Tembo is a social and political philosopher with expertise in critical philosophy of race. Trained in African philosophy, postcolonial and decolonial theories, intersectional Black feminism, and continental philosophy, his research spans several themes, including (1) relationships between conceptions of political subjectivity and sociopolitical conditions, (2) the entanglements of race, religion, and racism, (3) colonial and post-colonial power relations, (4) and sociopolitical representations of Europe-Global South relations.
