About Wouter Jansen

Wouter Jansen joined the Cosys-Lab research group at the University of Antwerp after receiving his M.Sc. in 2019 to pursue a Ph.D. He supports the lab’s mission on cyber-physical systems (co-)design by applying advanced in-air acoustic sensors across fields like industry, transport, and agriculture. His work uses signal-processing and learning techniques to advance the general theory of semantics in long-wavelength sensing, aiming to create a real-time cognitive sonar system. As part of Cosys-Lab, he focuses on translational research for impactful, re-usable results that meet industry needs.
