Jesuit Heritage: Art and Architecture | Summer School

Online Summer School | 6 - 10 September 2021

Discover the rich contribution that the Society of Jesus made to the development of Early Modern art and architecture. From prayer cards and illustrated Gospels and devotional texts to monumental Baroque churches and paintings. The summer school will also pay particular attention to the city of Antwerp, one of the great centres of Jesuit activity and home to the church of Carolus Borromeo, artists like Rubens, and printers like Plantin.

Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the summer school will take place entirely online. All the classes will be recorded, so that participants in any time zone can watch the classes at their own convenience.
