The 2025 edition took place from 30 June to 4 July 2025 and consisted of an intensive five-day, entry-level hands-on course on creating digital editions of both analogue and born-digital texts. Participants acquired basic skills such as XML mark-up, handwritten text recognition, and keystroke logging to design and analyse a fully-fledged, TEI-compatible Digital Scholarly Edition.
I have a science and technology background. The course is fast-paced, practical and focused on digital tools. I had the chance to apply the methodologies before I left the classroom. The instructors are excellent, their communication is concise and the material is well structured. I also met some amazing people from around the world. Overall, it was a fulfilling and enjoyable experience, one that I'd recommend to anyone seeking to develop an understanding of textual processing and analysis.

It was an intensive and comprehensive course on many practical tools, applications, and sites that we can use in the future. Digital Humanities is a fast-developing field, and it is sensible to become acquainted with its basics, even if you don't plan to become an expert in the area. The teachers are experts in the field and always willing to help and guide so you will not get totally lost if you are a beginner.

This course is ideal for those who have no previous experience on DH and wish to acquire some confidence and familiarity with the world of digital editions.
