A good website is an essential basis for a professional online presence.
This is why the web editing team helps research groups and consortia to build and maintain their own subsite at uantwerpen.be.
1. Official research groups and consortia
- Official research groups and consortia are registered in the research database of the Department of Research, Innovation & Valorisation Antwerp (RIVA).
- They are always provided with their own subsite and are listed in the online research overview: www.uantwerpen.be/research-overview.
- Members of the research group or consortia can maintain and personalise the subsite as web editors. Note that new web editors first need to request editing rights.
- Using the ID number of their research group or consortia, web editors can publish automatic lists based on data drawn from the official UAntwerp databases.
- A new meta tag can be added in the events or news module.
2. Research collaborations or projects
- Non-official research associations or projects can also request their own subsite on uantwerpen.be.
- This is not mandatory, but certainly recommended.
- Research collaborations are categorised in the online research overview as ‘collaboration’.
- They cannot use the automatic lists with info from the databases, as they do not have an ID number.
- Research collaborations or projects are not given their own meta tags in the events or news module.
- Read more about requesting a subsite.
Templates and databases for research group subsites
There is a fixed template for these subsites that can be personalised with your own header and navigation structure.
Research groups can choose to build a subsite in Dutch, in English or in both languages. This choice must be implemented consistently, as English subsites especially should not contain any Dutch content.
Officially recognised research groups can publish automatic lists of official data from the UAntwerpen databases on their subsite:
- Members (from research database, linked with PSoft)
- Publications (from academic bibliography)
- Research mission (from research database)
- Projects (from research database)
- Expertise (from research database)
Research groups that do not want to or cannot maintain their own subsite are given a basic subsite featuring this automatic information.
You'll find more information on how each automatic list can be modified below.
Members
- Only available to research groups that are officially recognised in the research database.
