The design of the bench follows the flow of the circulation in the space, offering a seat to anyone willing to engage with the features of the space and allowing users to interact with each other. The inclination of the bench defines the surrounding space and is a reduction of the space of the classroom next to it. Different views are emphasized, the corridor, painting and the axes outside the window are reappraised. The different inclinations come together in a weaving pattern of small wooden beams to create a lattice like seating surface in one plane, this becomes the stiffening element holding together the 3 frame-like structures underneath. These understructures give an indication of the seating arrangement, readable through the weaved surface, their nodes are stiffened through Japanese joinery, which are clearly in sight.
