Inneke Baatsen (°1988) has joined the Grants Office team as research manager of the Urban Studies Institute in October 2017. As such, she is responsible for facilitating and stimulating interdisciplinary research collaboration between the members of the Urban Studies Institute. Her tasks mainly include the signalisation and exploration of (collaborative) funding opportunities for researchers, a close follow-up of the project writing proces, coordination and support in designing the project plan as well as negotiation between the USI and external partners.

Inneke is educated as an urban historian and defended her PhD in 2016 with a thesis on late medieval and early modern dining culture in Bruges. She has been a member of the Centre for Urban History since 2010 and is very happy to apply her passion for urban topics and urban research while helping the researchers and experts from the Urban Studies Institute.
