Inneke Baatsen (°1988) received her Master's degree at the University of Antwerp in 2010. From 2010 until 2012 she was engaged in the Top-Bof project on "Economies of quality and the material renaissance", for which she analysed household inventories for the cities of Bruges, Antwerp, Mechelen and Oudenaarde together with Julie De Groot and Isis Sturtewagen.
As of October 2012, she became a research fellow from the FWO - Flanders on a project on dining culture and social inequality in late medieval and early modern Bruges. In December 2016 she succesfully defended her doctoral thesis which was entitled "A bittersweet symphony. The social recipe of dining culture in late medieval and early modern Bruges (1438-1600)."
