About Elise Goossens

Elise Goossens is assistant professor of civil law in context at the University of Antwerp. Her research focuses substantively on family law, succession law, and (private) law and gender, and methodologically on socio legal and comparative legal research approaches. Elise is the academic coordinator of the scientific research network RETHINKIN_ (www.rethinkin.eu). In the past, Elise's positions have included FWO postdoctoral researcher at KU Leuven, lecturer in law at Stanford Law School, and advisor to the Belgian Minister of Justice on the reform of family property law.
