Elise Goossens is Assistant Professor of Private Law in Context. Her research deals with the theoretical and ideological foundations of private law, with a focus on family and family property law, and (private) law and gender. Elise is the academic coordinator of the FWO Scientific Research Network RETHINKIN - Rethinking Family and Family Law in the Low Countries. In the past, Elise's positions have included FWO postdoctoral researcher at KU Leuven, lecturer in law at Stanford Law School, and advisor to the Belgian Minister of Justice on the reform of family property law.
