Veerle holds a master’s degree in Sociology (KU Leuven). Since 2017, she is a PhD student at the Herman Deleeck Center for Social Policy. Her PhD focuses on the development and application of a multidimensional well-being measure for older people with respect for individual variation in preferences. Alongside her PhD, Veerle is following an advanced master program in “Quantitative Analysis in the Social Sciences” (KU Leuven). She also cooperates on a project about the deployment of staff in residential care centers funded by the Flemish government (Steunpunt Welzijn, Volksgezondheid en Gezin).
