About Jan Blockx

My research mainly concerns European economic law, covering areas such as competition law, state aid, the internal market, EU trade policy and technology regulation. I combine theoretical insights from law and philosophy with practical experience. Besides my academic activities, I act as assessor at the Belgian competition authority. In the past, I worked for ten years as a private practice lawyer at international law firms Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Hogan Lovells.
