About Lith Lefranc

Lith Lefranc is currently finalising her PhD in Digital Humanities. Her doctoral research explores the transformation of urban nightlife in Antwerp (1876–1939) through computational methods, with particular attention to gender, urban infrastructure and sensory experiences after dark. Since October 2026, she has been a postdoctoral researcher on Hearing the Past, which uses AI-based text analysis to investigate urban soundscapes. Other research interests include gender history, the Flemish movement and socialist workers' assembly halls.
