About Danai Maria Kalama

Danai Kalama is an FWO PhD Fellow (2023-2027). Her work focuses on the incorporation of waste biomasses (waste cooking oil and lignin) in bituminous binders, for asphalt applications. Her expertise involves rheological and chemomechanical characterisation of modified binders. Her project aims to advance the knowledge on alternative bituminous binders for more sustainable pavement practices.
