Second-hand book sale

For Faculty of Arts students

Illustration of flying course books

On Monday, October 6, you can come to the second-hand book sale for the programmes of the Faculty of Arts. The book market will be open between 11:30 a.m. and 4 p.m. in the foyer of Het Brantijser (Building SJ) and in the rooms next to it. Come and grab a bargain or make some money from your old textbooks!

Buyers

You can visit the book market whenever it suits you.

Tips:

  • It is best to make a list of the books you need in advance.
  • You can choose the condition of the books you buy: the selection ranges from books in mint condition to books with markings and notes.
  • Make sure you buy the correct edition. The printed syllabuses from Universitas often receive a (minor) update in the summer.

Sellers

Register for a spot at the book market using the form. In addition to textbooks, you can also sell prose, poetry, and theater texts from your program.

Tips:

  • You can take a stall on your own or together with other students.
  • You determine a selling price that corresponds to the condition of the book.
  • It is best to check the updated study programme on the programme page. This will save you the trouble of lugging around books that are no longer on the reading list.

The faculty organises this book sale together with the student clubs Klio (history, philosophy) and Lingua (language and literature, applied linguistics).
