Zomaar een dak, the pastoral service of University of Antwerp, is a meeting place for everyone. We offer a wide range of activities for anyone engaged with life views or simply looking for a meaningful way to fully participate in student and university life. These activities always aim to create social, cultural and/or philosophical added value and often arise from initiatives taken by staff members or students themselves.

Our door is often open

Many people know that the words Zomaar een dak have been displayed on the façade of Prinsstraat 32 for a very long time, but only a few are familiar with the story behind these three words. To this day, the name continues to inspire. What once may have sounded like a cryptic Christian statement has gradually evolved into something much more: Zomaar een dak has become a strong pastoral initiative and a professional service with a clear offering for the entire university community.

Downstairs...

The downstairs room at Zomaar een dak is the ideal place to bridge a free period and to meet any of your appointments. Have lunch (a microwave oven is available), work on your paper or group assignment, catch up with someone, or enjoy a date with our coffee machine. If the gate is open, feel free to pop in.

... and upstairs as well

At present, five chaplains are affiliated with Prinsstraat 32. The word pastor comes from Latin and means “shepherd”, which is why we once named our upstairs room Open Field: a spacious room with a projection screen – ideal for meeting.
