Various organisations are regular guests at Zomaar een dak. Learn more about them through the alphabetical list below and click on a logo to visit the respective website.
Amahoro
"Is there still need for music that brings people closer together?" Amahoro, the solidarity choir of the University of Antwerp, has been answering this question with a resounding “Yes!” for more than 30 years.
For this reason, from the heart of the city, Amahoro spreads a message of peace, friendship, warmth, and tolerance throughout our society. Songs about war and peace, injustice and hope therefore feature prominently in its repertoire.
Amahoro – because solidarity sounds better in a choir!
Are you a soprano, tenor, or bass, and do notes sometimes bubble up spontaneously? Then send an email and come discover them. Amahoro rehearses on Thursdays from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.
UCSIA
The University Centre Saint Ignatius Antwerp originates from the former Jesuit institution UFSIA. As a university centre, this independent non-profit organisation aims to build bridges toward a more just world.
UCSIA is a place for collective reflection on a wide range of social and spiritual issues. That is why it brings together a very diverse group of people, enabling these challenges to be explored from multiple perspectives.
USAB
The University Foundation for Poverty Alleviation was founded in 1991 by the Flemish Jesuits of the former UFSIA. The association aims to raise awareness among students and staff of the University of Antwerp about issues related to poverty.
Together, they seek to ensure that poverty is no longer seen as a given. USAB is built on three pillars: housing, volunteer work, and academic research.
USOS
The University Foundation for Development Cooperation is a small non-profit organisation that operates as a collaboration between the University of Antwerp and the Flemish-Dutch region of the Jesuits. More specifically, USOS is tasked with supporting the University of Antwerp in its ambition to become a globally engaged university.
To achieve this, the organisation pursues two strategies: global education and the promotion of partnerships with the Global South.
