Welcome week for international degree students

Since 2014, we've welcomed international students to our university with an orientation week in September. In 2023, a record number of 242 students participated.

Social network for international staff and students

Since 2019, MONDO has organised numerous activities annually for international staff and students.

YUFE4Postdocs

This ambitious program is co-funded by the EU and is led by the University of Antwerp. It attracts fifty-one postdoctoral researchers to the YUFE partner universities, and develops a new standard for postdoctoral learning.

International Design Workshop Week

Annually, the Faculty of Design Sciences hosts an international design week with educational experiences that open eyes, change perspectives, and broaden thinking.

March 2023: Lumumba Auditorium Inauguration

Alongside the launch of the Strategic Framework for Global Engagement, the Lumumba Auditorium is inaugurated in the presence of the Lumumba family.

Orientation Day for exchange students

Since 2004, over 400 students annually have started their exchange here at the University of Antwerp. Welcome!

25 years of doctoral learning

The Antwerp Doctoral School (ADS) supports researchers during their PhD trajectory and prepares them for a career inside or outside academia. In 2018, ADS celebrated the 25th anniversary of the doctoral study programme at UAntwerp.

In 2010, we established our first summer schools. Now, in 2024, we organize 28 summer and winter schools annually for 600+ students from all over the world.

The European Association for International Education celebrated 20 years in Antwerp

In honour of 20 years of EAIE, the 20th EAIE Annual Conference in historic Antwerp focused on the past, present, and future of internationalisation.

Young Universities for the Future of Europe

In 2019, the University of Antwerp was one of the founding members of the YUFE Alliance, in which young European research universities collaborate under the banner of Young Universities for the Future of Europe.
