You may already know that komida serves delicious food. But did you know that having lunch or taking a break at komida also contributes to a more sustainable world?
Red meat is not on the menu, and we choose Belgian products for our other meat dishes. Our fish is always sustainably caught or farmed.
More than 50% of our selection is plant-based or vegetarian – and vegetarian is often the default. We cook with seasonal and local ingredients and deliberately limit the number of suppliers we work with to reduce our environmental footprint.
We also pay close attention to water use and packaging. We provide free tap water on every campus, promote reusable drinking bottles and minimise single-use packaging. Through Vytal, we offer reusable containers and cutlery.
Whenever possible, we choose fairly produced products and work to reduce food waste. Surplus food is given a second chance through Too Good To Go.
Every day, we make conscious choices. Good for you, better for the planet.
Vytal - What is that?
