STAN, a unique platform for and by students, was founded by the Antwerp city council, the Antwerp higher education institutions, and the student association 'Antwerps Studentenoverleg'. An enthusiastic team and lots of student volunteers will guide you through Antwerp's exciting student life, from the day you arrive to the day you leave.

Head out and get some fresh air in one of the city’s many parks, such as the central Stadspark, the sporty Rivierenhof, the playful Nachtegalenpark or the Middelheim sculpture park. You'll find lots of great places to walk, run or play sports – whether it's a fierce game of basketball or a laid-back game of pétanque. Have a picnic with your friends by the Scheldt or stop by Park Spoor Noord, where skaters meet in the spectacular bowl.
Be prepared to make some hard choices, because there's always something to do in Antwerp. There are cultural and sporting events in both summer and winter, such as the Zomer van Antwerpen, music festivals, shopping Sundays and various markets and sports competitions. You’ll find cafés and restaurants all over the city, from trendy hotspots to small, cosy hangouts off the beaten track.
