Pilot project Digital Collections
Recently, JSTOR (a digital library of academic journals, books and primary sources) has committed to preserving collections from different heritage organisations. In the context of this project, the Special Collections has initiated a pilot project to optimize the interaction between the program and the participating libraries and in so doing we can offer our materials to an international public.
Through this process, JSTOR learns from our feedback to develop their practices around metadata, and we get to use their platform to reach a larger audience by offering our materials to an international community. In the same breath, we also learn more about the how to better offer our digital material to the international community.
Temporarily, only our collection of fable literature is available on JSTOR, but we are working on adding more.
