Lecture | Lidvine Ngonseu Harpi | Werner Van Peer | Hans De Loof | Faculty GGW-FBD

16 March | 18:00 - 20:00

The lecture 'Racial Health Inequality?' explores race as a sociological construct and examines how racism contributes to health inequalities. Drawing on research and concrete examples from healthcare, it highlights the impact of racism on health at individual, institutional and societal levels. The lecture concludes by distinguishing between race-based and race-conscious medicine, and considers how a more aware approach can help reduce health inequalities and improve care for all patients.
