DHS 2013

Subject

The second Demographic and Health Survey (DHS 2013) is a nationally representative household surveys that provide data on monitoring the population and health situation in the DRC. It provides reliable data on: fertility; sexual activity; fertility preferences; knowledge and use of family planning; breastfeeding; the nutritional status of women and children under age five; childhood mortality; adult mortality (including maternal mortality); maternal and child health; HIV/AIDS and STI knowledge, and the use of mosquito nets to prevent malaria. The survey also included testing for HIV, anemia and malaria. 

Coverage

It was implemented from August 2013 to February 2014 and covered a sample size of 18,171 households.
