Subject

This is a national survey on the situation of out-of-school children in the DRC which gathered statistics and information on factors contributing to the exclusion of children from school. More specifically, the survey addressed questions such as how many children are out of school, who are they and where are they located, what are the reasons why they are out of school, the efficiency of educational policies, social protection strategies and their impact on enabling children to attend school. Further information on the OOSC survey can be found here.

Coverage 

The survey covered a sample of 13,519 households and was implemented in 2012.

Author 

The main implementors of the survey were the Ministry of Education, UNICEF, DFID, UNESCO, HIPS University of Ouagadougou.
