FBE PhD candidate Kevin Van Mencxel has been awarded the 2022 Gallais-Hamonno Jury Research Prize in Historical Finance. Many congratulations! Kevin won the award because of large-scale archival work and the use of modern quantitative methods in view of bringing new insights into the workings of the Belgian corporate bond market. Tom Devolder and Cédric Dobbels (master Business Engineering 2018) have won the BVA Essay Award 2019 for the best masterthesis

Each year, The Belgian Venture Capital & Private Equity Association (in short “BVA”) organises the BVA Essay Award, a competition to reward the best Belgian academic research paper about venture capital and private equity. A panel of experienced jury members judge the essays based on 4 criteria: academic quality, originality of approach, accessibility and practical usability of the subject and finally the relevance of the study for the private equity sector.
