Travel directions

By public transport

  • From Brussels National Airport (Zaventem): Take the train to Antwerpen-Berchem, and bus line 21 or 32 from there (see: By bus, below)
     
  • By train: travel to Antwerpen-Centraal Station or Berchem Station. You find the time tables of the Belgian Railway Company at the website of the NMBS. (in Dutch, French and English).
     
  • By bus : You find the time tables of the Flemish Transport Company at the website of De Lijn. (in Dutch only)
    • Line 21: from Antwerpen-Centraal Station or Berchem Station, get off at 'Middelheim'
    • Line 32: from Antwerpen-Centraal Station or Berchem-Station, get off at 'Floralienlaan'


By car

  • From Brussels:
    Motorway E-19 : direction Antwerpen-Mechelen
    Take the exit Hoboken-Wilrijk-Mortsel (Exit 6), keep to the left in the direction R11 Hoboken-Wilrijk centrum, at the 3rd traffic lights turn right, and immediately right again (Groenborgerlaan). At the first traffic lights turn left (Beukenlaan), and then 1st right (Middelheimlaan).
     
  • From Gent:
    Motorway E-17 : direction Antwerpen-Hasselt
    In Antwerpen, take the exit Wilrijk-Berchem (5) and turn to the right. In this Beukenlaan, at the 3rd traffic lights, turn to the left (Middelheimlaan)
     
  • From Liege, Hasselt, Eindhoven or Breda:
    Motorway E-313 from Liege and Hasselt: direction Hasselt-Antwerpen
    Motorway E-34 from Eindhoven: direction Turnhout-Antwerpen
    Motorway E-19 from Breda: direction Antwerpen
    In Antwerpen, follow the 'Ring' motorway, take the exit Berchem (4) turn immediately to the left, crossing the motorway (Grote Steenweg). At the first traffic lights, turn right (Elisabethlaan). At the next traffic lights and obelisk turn right again (Koninklijkelaan, and further on Middelheimlaan)
