At the Euroanalysis conference in Istanbul, Turkey (1-5 september 2019), Olivier Mortelé and Tim Boogaerts both won an award in the category ‘best oral presentation of a young scientist’ on their work in in vitro colonic biotransformation of xenobiotics and wastewater-based epidemiology to track down antidepressants use.
Elias Iturrospe and Chanel De Swert, both master students who prepared their master thesis at the Toxicological Centre, were recently awarded for their efforts. Elias won the price for best Master student of the Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences and Chanel won both the jury and audience award for her master thesis on opioid use in Belgium.
