Die Kreatur
Dr. Paula Schwebel
From December 1st 2011 until September 30th 2012, Dr. Paula Schwebel did her post-doctoral research at the Institute of Jewish Studies. Her research project undertakes the first full-length study of the Weimar era journal, Die Kreatur, published in Berlin by Lambert Schneider between 1926 and 1930. The journal sought to provide a platform for interreligious dialogue, and was edited by Martin Buber, the German-Jewish philosopher, along with Josef Wittig, and Victor von Weizsaecker. As part of an ongoing project on Die Kreatur, Dr. Schwebel is working on a book about the theological, political, and philosophical significance of the themes of this journal, as well as translations of selected articles.
