Expertise

I work on revealing the functional role of mutated proteins linked to neurodegeneration. I optimized a platform to generate iPSC-derived motor neurons from CMT patients and perform mechanistic and semi-throughput assays. I gained microscopy skills ranging from in vivo live imaging to high-resolution microscopy to record and analyze imaging data. I have a PhD in Developmental Biology and I also worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Ospedale San Raffaele, Milan, where I learned how to run cell-based screening assays on patient-derived oligodendrocytes in the multiple sclerosis field. I have a constant passion for science and translational research that benefits society.
