Expertise

My research expertise lies in organometallic chemistry, with a strong focus on ligand design to enable new fundamental chemical transformations. During my PhD in gold chemistry, I developed innovative methodologies including aromatic fluorination, stabilization of highly reactive Au(I) carbene intermediates, and catalytic allylation reactions. This work combined detailed mechanistic understanding with practical applications in synthesis. In my postdoctoral research, I have expanded my expertise into radical chemistry, developing new, efficient, and more sustainable reactions with potential industrial relevance. My work is supported by broad experience in analytical techniques such as NMR, UV-Vis and IR spectroscopy, and GC-MS, as well as organic synthesis, inert-atmosphere techniques for handling highly sensitive compounds, data analysis, and the characterization of new compounds.
