Deborah Jael Herrera is an Epidemiologist and PhD fellow, with a focused expertise on shared decision-making (SDM) in cancer screening. She graduated as a Biologist and earned her master's degree in epidemiology with support from the VLIR-UOS scholarship. Subsequently, she collaborates with the research team of the ORIENT Prevention Project funded by Kom op Tegen Kanker. The project's primary aim is to develop and test a novel risk-stratified SDM tool tailored to aid vulnerable populations in making informed choices regarding colorectal cancer screening.
