Diana Campillo Davó

Diana Campillo is a doctoral student at the Tumor Immunology Group of the Laboratory of Experimental Hematology (University of Antwerp, Belgium). She obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Biology in 2011 from the University of Alicante (Spain) and continued her studies at the University of Granada (Spain), where she received her Master’s Degree in Research and Progress in Molecular and Cellular Immunology in 2012, obtaining Full Marks on her Master’s thesis. She then worked as a laboratory technician in Bioarray S.L., a Spanish technology-based company specialized in genetic analysis. In 2013, she was awarded a predoctoral fellowship from the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness to study the genetic basis of autoimmune diseases at the Institute of Parasitology and Biomedicine López-Neyra of the Spanish National Research Council. In 2015, she was awarded a DOCPRO grant from the University Research Fund of the University of Antwerp to start her doctoral studies under the supervision of Prof. Viggo Van Tendeloo and Dr. Eva Lion. Her doctoral project focuses on the development of new tools and strategies to improve cancer immunotherapy, in particular, using RNA-engineered T lymphocytes.
