Filip Van Den Eede is a consultation and liaison psychiatrist. He also is the medical coordinator of the UZA’s Psychiatry department. As an associate professor with the Collaborative Antwerp Psychiatric Research Institute (CAPRI), he teaches various topics in psychiatry and psychosomatic medicine, while his research mainly focuses on the biological and psychological vulnerability for affective disorders (anxiety and depression) and functional disorders (chronic fatigue, pain, and tinnitus), as well as on the neurobiological characterization of these disorders. He also publishes on the diagnostic and therapeutic implications of psychiatric and somatic comorbidity.
