Gert Verschraegen is professor of Sociology at the University of Antwerp. His research interests cover the fields of cultural sociology, theoretical sociology and the sociology of science and knowledge. Before joining the University of Antwerp, Verschraegen was a post-doctoral fellow at the universities of Leuven and Luxemburg. He also held visiting positions at Harvard University and the University of Alberta.
