Haike Delafontaine works for the Centre for Population, Family and Health, at the Department of Sociology. In the Z-building she primarily focuses on drinking coffee and researching the topic of loneliness among elderly in complex family situations. She is associated with the interdisciplinary project Family Solidarity 2.0, which aims at mapping the concept of 'solidarity', in terms of financial and social support, in the 21st century. Its main goal is to adapt the current legal and social framework to make it more compatible with an increasingly diverse array of family contexts.
