Hilbert Mendoza is an Epidemiologist and a doctoral research fellow within the Social Epidemiology and Health Policy research group. His doctoral research project is in the field of environmental epidemiology and mainly examines the effect of urban green spaces on mental health (suicide deaths, anxiety and depressive disorders), cardio-vascular risk factors (hypertension and body mass index trajectories), and respiratory health (lung function) within the Global North (Belgium, Spain, and Germany) and the Global South (South Africa and Uganda).
