Evolutionary genetics of phytophagous insects on the Galapagos archipelago: patterns and processes.
Abstract
This project aims at studying the genetic differentiation and evolution of phytophagous invertebrates on the Galápagos archipelago. By means of different biochemical techniques (allozyme-electrophoresis, mtDNA sequencing) we want to better understand the phylogeography of several groups of phytophagous beetles and for a limited amount of species we want to study the population genetic structure.Researcher(s)
