I am a research professor at the Internet and Data Lab (IDLab), an inter-university research group part of the University of Antwerp’s Department of Computer Science and Ghent University’s Department of Information Technology. Additionally, I am a principal investigator at imec.
My general research interests encompass performance modeling and optimization of emerging wireless network technologies. Currently, I am particularly interested in low-power and battery-less communications and computing for the Internet of Things, and (beyond) 5G technologies such as ultra-reliable low-latency communications (URLLC), high-frequency communications (millimeter wave, Terahertz) and programmable metasurfaces.
