Expertise
My research focuses on the intersections of decolonial and feminist theories in architecture and construction. I am particularly interested in critically analysing how spatial research and practices are shaped by the implicit impositions of the colonial/modern gender system. On one hand, this involves theoretical concerns that challenge architecture as a hegemonic discipline. On the other hand, it motivates a practice-oriented inquiry that adopts a propositional stance within that critical framework. My work is informed by direct community and social engagement and takes participation as a fundamental element of the research process.
